Peacocks are so striking! No wonder their feathers, with their unique shape and amazing colors, have become a very popular bridal theme. Here's a bit of visual inspiration for the peacock lovers out there.
Minted just opened their last Design Challenge for voting. The challenge was to create out-of-the-box Holiday Gift Tags. Below you can see the design I submitted. You can cast your vote on any of my gift tags as well as any other design you see as part of the challenge. It's quick and fun, and most of all, you decide what tag will sell on Minted!
Minted is currently hosting a Gift Tag Design Challenge. Here are the designs I submitted. If you like any of them, please head over to the website and add your comment or critique. The voting will start after September 19th, when the challenge closes. There's already a lot of good entries and the winners will be announced in a few weeks.
In August of 2010 I was celebrating a milestone birthday. To celebrate it, my husband was kind enough to cross the number 1 item on my bucket list by arranging a trip to Italy. Not only did we have an incredible time, but we took some amazing pictures of the three cities we visited: Rome, Florence and Venice.

I'm offering some of those pictures for sale at Zazzle. They are available as Wrapped Canvas and come in a variety of sizes, frame thickness and effects. These are the first ones I added. I'm working on a few more to be in my shop soon.
A few days ago I learned that I won 3rd place on the Invitation Consultants Design Contest. Today, Kaity, from Invitation Consultants, had my design featured on their blog, together with a brief interview, which you can read here.
Previously, they had featured the First Place Winner and the Second Place Winner, both designs very creative and lovely! The invitation I designed is now for sale at Invitation Consultants, under the name Country Celebration that they chose and I love! I hope this would be just the beginning of a longer relationship with a such fun company.
Labor day is over, which means that flip flops, frozen lemonade and nautical prints are part of the recent past. As we enter the Fall Season, we submerge in rich colors and textures. The deep reds, golds and olives, and the intricate textures are showing everywhere. But just before we totally get into that, is time to have fun with the wackiest holiday of all: Halloween! I'll just get you started with this sample of Halloween Invitations available at my Zazzle store.
I found Karen Field's Etsy shop on a rainy Sunday afternoon and her colorful, vivid and bold artwork brightened my day. Her contemporary pieces are eye-catching and daring. I don't know what I like better: the flowers, the city landscapes, or the birds. They are equally delightful and will shine in any room.
