My idea was to make it appealing and fun, showing craft related techniques or materials. I also considered a color palette that compliments and contrasts at the same time with the rest of the web page where the blog appears.
Now we wait for their favorites to be posted on Monday May 25 and after that people will vote for their favorite design. Good luck to all the contestants!
These are the pictures I just sent to the Photography Tigerprint Competition. The brief is to design a collection of blank cards that can be used for any ocassion. I took these pictures of flowers and gave them a vintage effect. There's room on each one for a message.
I've been trying to come up with a design for a blog header. This had made me pay special attention to the header design in the several blogs I visit every day. I'm still not happy with my design and I'll keep working on it probably for the next day or two, taking breaks to work on other projects. In the mean time I post here a few of my favorites blog headers out there.
Usually Mother's Day images are full of bright or pastel flowers, birds and butterflies. I wanted to acknowledge this special day with a mom and baby polar bear motif a did long ago and that I'm using now on a card. It's not your typical image but I guess in cold places moms deserve to be celebrated too.
